Height of attack area
|
Defines the height dtot of the wind attack area Aref,x for for the two situations (dtot = d + d1) (see EC 8.3.1), where d by default is the height of the defined cross-section (note:height of roadway yet not included). In case of wind without traffic d1 is set to the default value of 0.6m (see EC 8.3.1 (4) a)).
In case of wind with traffic d1 is set to the default value of 2.0m (see EC 8.3.1 (5) a)).

The default wind load factor C for the vertical wind load is considered by 0.9 (see EC 8.3.3 (1). |

|
Calculated area load of wind pressure (Pd= 1/2 . ρ × vb 2 × C). |
Note: For calculating the vertical wind pressure the wind speed without traffic is used.
