Part list
This list is opened using the arrow symbol next to the edit box at the top of the cross section window. The list shows the numbers of existing parts, the corresponding reference point and the composite definitions.
Insert parts
Having activated the part list, the Insert before tool or "Insert after" can used to create a new part. All parts are numbered automatically by the program, starting with 1. Hence, both insert symbols have the same meaning. The point may be changed by clicking a new intersection of two construction lines
Modify parts
A selected part can be modified using the Modify tool. The reference point may be changed by clicking a new intersection of two construction lines.
Delete parts
A selected part can be deleted using the Delete tool. A confirmation is required. Part 1 is always existing and can not be deleted. All other parts are renumbered after having deleted one.
Activate parts
The part to be activated has to be marked in the list. Confirming by OK the selected part is shown in the edit box.
Composite
RM Bridge supports composite structures. Several individual partial beam elements (consisting of several materials) can be combined to composite beam elements. Composite parts can only be defined if at least two parts exist.
Hambly parts
If a cross section has to be investigated due to Hambly iteration by dividing it in different areas, corresponding parts may be assigned to groups, the so-called Hambly parts. These parts are not used for beams. Use composite definition to assign parts to Hambly parts.
