Any name for the material may be entered. If there is no material of this name in the RM-project, an empty material will be generated. If the material has been chosen from the RM-material database, then this material and its parameters will be transferred to the RM-project.

Number of the 1st cable element. The number is for the export to the RM-project unconditionally necessary.

Number of elements to be generated. At least 1 element is necessary. The elements will be created between the entered connections ( step 1 ).

If more than 1 element is needed, nodes starting with the entered number and using the step 1 will be created.

Cross section area used for the static calculation.

A ring cross section that is equivalent to the cross section area can be used instead of the cross section values for the cable elements.

The area, A, and Diameter, da, define the cross section. The inner diameter results from

A = π/4 × ( da² - di² )

A cross section with the specified name will be automatically created. This cross section is constant and can not be changed.
