RM Bridge Analyzer RM Bridge Analyzer An RM Bridge Advanced module. RmBridge > Program StartRmBridge Main MenuMenu > FileThis menu provides functions for project administration and file operations. There is no corresponding function in the navigation tree. Create RM defaultsIf there is no RM defaults database (e.g., after a new installation or after having deleted the old one), the user has the possibility to create a RM default database by importing one or more standards for materials and formulas provided by Bentley System, Incorporated. Overview and choice for all unitsThe list of all existing units is shown Menu > PropertiesDefinition and management of physical and administrative parameters of the mathematical model of the bridge structure. Menu > StructureThis menu provides functions for controlling the structural parameters of the calculation model. These are structural nodes, structural elements, tendons, FEM bodies and as a special case data related to incremental launching construction method. Menu > ScheduleThis menu provides functions for defining all impacts to the structure and information about the? intended construction sequence of the bridge. The schedule also defines all calculations? and proof checks that should be then performed for the individual construction phases. RecalcDependent on whether the program is in the Analysis mode or in the Modeler mode, the Recalculate button starts the transfer of Modeler data into the RmBridge database or starts the actual analysis of the model. Menu > ExtrasThis menu contains different special additional functions. These are for instance: Additional modules for special analysis features (e.g. rolling stock analysis), preprocessors and macros for generating extensive input sequences, templates for standardized sequences (e.g. in accordance with a certain design code), creating special output documents, interfaces to detailing software (Rebar) or functions for drawing production and management (RM Draw Manager). Menu > ResultsThis menu provides functions for displaying and evaluating results of the calculation and any interesting intermediate results (e.g. curves describing the actual creep and shrinkage behavior). The results are primarily presented in form of scroll list. Graphical presentations in the graphics window are additionally available. Menu > RMView This menu accesses the model and result viewer RMView. It will start the external tool RMBridgeView.exe. Bentley Cloud Services menuUsed to manage ProjectWise Projects and open CONNECT?portals. Menu > View OptionsThis menu provides functions for controlling the graphical presentation of the structure in the graphic window of the GUI. General PadsSelective List > ILM ElementsIn this pad an element can be selected from the displayed existing beams in RM project. Selective List > ILM Load CasesIn this pad a reference load case can be selected from the displayed existing user defined load cases of the RM project. Selective List > ILM Load SetIn this pad a load set can be selected from the displayed existing user defined load sets in the RM project. Selective List > NodesIn this pad a Node can be selected from the displayed existing nodes in RM project. Selective List > ILM Nose SegmentsIn this pad the Reference Nose Segment can be selected from the displayed list.ILM Segment > Delete segmentSelective List > ILM SegmentsIn this pad the Reference Segment can be selected from the displayed list of existing nose and girder segments within ILM project.ILM Segment > Insert / Modify Input pad for Segment definition, used in Incremental Launching Method Preprocessor. Depending on the selected Segment Type different input is required and individually described below. Selective List > ILM SpringsIn this pad a Spring can be selected from the displayed existing springs of RM project. Selective List > ILM StagesIn this pad a stage can be selected from the displayed existing stages of RM project. Load TypesSelective List > StandardsCode dependent checks / designs are related to the selected standard. The following code-dependent checks / designs are available for the individual standards: Shear lag definitionList of activation - construction typesA list of available construction types is displayed in this pad. Recalc > CS IntegrationOption LINEARIn case of the option, the material diagrams of all used materials will be accepted as linear and? concrete has no tension. Choice of Space/Plane stateSwitch whether fixed end bending moments caused by temperature load should be fully considered or one of the 2 components should be neglected. Choice of considering constant partSwitch, defining whether the constant part of the fixed end force vector caused by temperature load? (normal force) should be considered or neglected. Choice of primary state optionThe primary state can either be considered by fictitious primary internal forces (old obsolete procedure) or by primary stresses defined for individual stress points in the action TempVar. The here specified switch is only relevant when the option "Include Primary TempVar effects" is set in the Recalc pad. List of aerodynamic classesList for all aerodynamic classes will be shown. List of MaterialsList of materials available in the database List of element typesSelective list of element types List of Cross-Section namesSelective list of cross-sections available in the project database Type of cross-section eccentricityThe type of the cross-section eccentricity governs the connection of the? cross-section with the structural nodes. Stiffness/Flexibility Matrix K11/F11Input of the sub-matrix K11 (Stiffness) or F11 (flexibility) Stiffness/Flexibility Matrix K12/F12Input of the sub-matrix K12 (Stiffness) or F12 (flexibility) Stiffness/Flexibility Matrix K21/F21Input of the sub-matrix K21 (Stiffness) or F21 (flexibility) Stiffness/Flexibility Matrix K22/F22Input of the sub-matrix K22 (Stiffness) or F22 (flexibility) Choice of the tendon typeOne of the type from the list will be chosen. Element Beam/Cable Cross-section values: CopyThe cross-section properties of beam/cable can be copied here. Stiffness element Cross-section values: CopyThe cross-section properties of Stiffness element can be copied here. RM Draw ManagerPlease read the user guide for information about this feature.Export to Bentley RebarPlease read the user guide for information about this feature.Selective List > Delete ObjectsDeleting individual objects (Wind profiles, Earthquake events, Traffic lanes, Load trains) from the respective table Load type > Element end velocity (currently not available)Specification of initial velocities of the element ends (for dynamic time stepping calculations). Load type > Element end acceleration (currently not available)Specification of initial accelerations of the element ends (for dynamic time stepping calculations only). Load type > DIMPR (obsolete)Additional information for pier dimensioning are prepared with this input pad. Load type > Single element load as nodal load at begin of segmentLoad type > Single element load as nodal load at end of segmentSelective List > Load trainsConstruction stage: New/Modify/CopyThe general structural activation stage of the elements can be input, modified or copied. Renumber/Skip the stagesCertain resp. all stages can be renumbered resp. skipped/unskipped Selective List > List of LanesSelective List > CombinationThe combination rule for envelopes can be selected from the displayed list. Skip the actionsChoice of Restart optionsAction Restart can be started by different options. They influence the way of calculation. Selection of OpenTcl ProcedureBeside any user defined and registered tcl procedure below 'Internal' and 'User' defined procedures are part of RM Bridge and can be used within OpenTcl. Selective List > Load CaseThe left list contains user-defined load cases to be calculated with Calc, the right list contains all load cases of the load case pool, i.e. also summation load cases? calculated by superimposing several load cases calculated with Calc. Option NOMINIn case of the option, the minimal crack reinforcement will be ignored in the process of dimensioning.
