From/To/Step
|
Series of elements for assigning the cross-section plane |
Begin/End
|
Definitions for the element begin or end respectively |
Normal
|
Cross-section plane is normal to the element axis |
Vertical
|
Cross-section plane is vertical (parallel to the global Y-axis and local z-axis) |
Horizontal
|
Cross-section plane is horizontal (parallel to the global XZ plane) (e.g. for piers) |
Angle
|
CS plane will be defined by an angle - in this case both angles have to be defined in form of mathematical functions Sinus: Setting | Description |
---|
SinXoY |
Sine of the angle between the local y axis and the y axis of the cross-section |
SinXoZ |
Sine of angle between the local z axis and the z-axis of the cross-section |
dBeta |
Rotation of the principal axes of the cross-section with respect to those of the element (around the axis normal to the cross-section plane). |
Note: The definition of this rotation has no influence in the analysis. It has been implemented for getting the exact geometry of pre-fabricated segments for surveying calculations in RmCast. Note that the angles defined with SinXoY and SinXoZ refer to the local axes prior to applying any rotation dBeta.
