Copying the information on composite status from one element to others.
Note: Composite elements consist of partial elements being themselves not composite. A separate composite element containing the active partial elements has to be defined for every intermediate composite state (e.g., composite element 401 contains 101 and 201, composite element 501 contains 101, 201, and 301 but not 301 or 401).
