DXF File Beam Label Options dialog

Used to control parameters for how steel and concrete beams are labeled in framing plans.

Opens when the Beam Label Options button is clicked in the DXF File Generation dialog.

Steel tab

SettingDescription
Suppress all Beam labeling Beam Labels can be suppressed by checking the Suppress all Beam Labeling box.
Include Grade Labels For Beam Grade Labels may be shown by turning on the check box for the desired grade.
Show Beam Reactions Beam Reactions may be shown by turning on the Show Beam Reactions check box. They may be either Unfactored or Factored. The calculated reaction (Unfactored or Factored) will be further multiplied by the value specified for the Scale Factor. The value shown will be the greater of the calculated value and the Minimum Value.
Show Camber Beam Cambers may be shown by turning on the Show Camber check box
Include Labels on Frame Beams Beam Labels may be included on Lateral Beam Members by turning on Include labels on the frame beam check box.
Segmented Stud Callout The Segmented Stud Callout box allows you to choose whether the callout will be shown as part of the beam label or shown under the beam.
Stud Symbols The Stud Symbols box allows you to choose between having the studs symbolized by ( ) or by [ ].
Distance Between Text and Beam The exact distance between a beam and the text labeling the beam can be specified with the Distance Between Text and Beam box.

Concrete tab

SettingDescription
Suppress all Beam Labeling Beam Labels can be suppressed by checking the Suppress all Beam Labeling box.
Section Label The section label assigned to the beam is used as the beam label.
Beam Mark The Concrete beam schedule mark is used to Label the beam.
Show Camber Selecting this option shows the camber in addition to the beam label.
