To generate a CIS/2 file

To generate a CIS/2 data exchange file for transferring the RAM Structural System model to other engineering software packages that offer a CIS/2 import translator, use the following procedure.

Currently, only geometry, end-fixities, and shapes are exported to the data exchange file.

Note: The CIS/2 data exchange file (CIMSteel Integration Standard v2.0) uses the STEP file format.

Either:

select Post Processing > CIMSteel File

or
select the CIS/2 tool

A dialog opens prompting for various items to include in the exported file.
Select the various items to include in the exported file. For more information about these options, click Help.
Click Create File. The Save As dialog opens.
Select a location and type a file name for the STEP file.
Click Save.

The generated file will have a STP extension.
