Criteria - SidePlate

When a SidePlate^® connection is assigned to a beam end, the program creates a special segment at the end of the beam. This segment is composed of several zones (Rigid end zone, SidePlate zone, the zone from end of the SidePlate to Hinge point, and from Hinge point to end of Protected zone).

Section properties for each zone are different based on selected SidePlate connection types. Currently, the following types are supported: Field Bolted SMF, IMF or OMF; Field Welded SMF; or Bolted Moment Frame (R=3).
