For buildings that have diaphragms at some level but none at other levels, a load case that consists of Story Loads and Nodal Loads can be specified using the Merge Load Cases command. Story loads will be applied at stories that have a diaphragm, whereas nodal loads will be applied at all stories (whether or not a diaphragm exists). Wind Nodal Load cases can be merged only with Wind Story Loads. Similarly Seismic Nodal Load cases can be merged only with Seismic Story Loads. This feature allows for multiple merges using the same story and/or nodal load cases.
