Options - Set Snap Points

In some modeling modes the cursor only "snaps" to points already defined by model elements such as grids, members, loads, etc. In some cases it may be desirable to turn off some of these snap points so that the correct snap points can be more easily selected. Using the Options - Set Snap Points command, select the element types that are to be considered when the snap point locations are established.

The dialog contains to tabs: Current Layout Type and Reference Layout Types. The settings on the Current Layout Type tab affect the snap points for the currently selected layout type, and the settings on the Reference Layout Types tab affect the snap points for all reference layout types that get drawn (based on the settings in the Reference Layout Types dialog).

By default every element is included in the locations that the cursor will snap to for the Current Layout Type tab, and no elements are included in the locations that the cursor will snap to for the Reference Layout Type tab. At least one item must be checked on the Current Layout Type tab. The choices selected in the Set Snap Points dialog are not saved after exiting the Modeler.
