Add a Point Load Assignment

There are three methods for adding a point load assignment to a model.

SettingDescription
Method 1:
  1. Select the point load property to be assigned by clicking the desired property in the Point Load Property list box.
  2. Select On-Grid, from the Add Mode box.
  3. Click Add. The Point Load Layout Mode dialog box will disappear, and the RAM Modeler will enter the Point Load Add Layout Mode.
  4. While in Point Load Add Layout Mode, you can add a point load by defining a location where the assignment will be made. This is done by clicking the mouse on node defining the point. If no node exists at the desired point, the X and Y location can be entered by using the Keyboard Mode Coordinate Entry command.

When the point load definition is complete, a new point load assignment will be made, showing on the screen as a small dot.
