To add a wall opening

Wall openings are added, modified, or removed in Elevation mode only.

Select either:

Layout > Walls > Wall Openings > Add

or
the Add Opening tool in the Wall Layout dynamic toolbar

The Add Wall Opening dialog opens.
Specify the location of the wall opening:
1. Type the Distance in X Direction.
2. Type the Distance in Y Direction.
3. Select the Reference Corner used for these distances. The Units selection affects these dimensions.
Select if the pressure distribution is to the:

Vertical Sides

or
Horizontal Sides

or
Ignored
Type the Dimensions –height, H and width, B– of the rectangular opening. The Units selection affects these dimensions.

Select the Graphics Mode used to place the wall opening:

Click…	and then…
Single	Click the wall where the wall opening is to be added. Repeat as necessary to add the same opening to other walls.
Fence	Fence an area in which the walls will have the same opening.

(Optional) Right-click to re-open the Add Wall Opening dialog and then repeat steps 2 through 5 to add different openings.
