Selecting Grid Systems

After one or more Grid Systems and Layout Types have been created, one or more of the grid systems must be assigned to each layout type. A grid system may be used by more than one layout type, and a layout type may use more than one grid system.

	Grid Systems are applied to a layout type by using the Layout – Grids – Select command. A floor layout type is selected from the list of available floor types. For the selected layout type, each grid system that will be associated with that floor type is checked and those that will not be associated with that floor type are left unchecked.

Grid systems can be assigned to or removed from a layout type at any time without affecting the data already modeled.
