For each soil load combination the following non-zero pile capacities are checked and if the capacity is not met a design warning is generated:

• Compression or tension capacity
• Shear capacity
• Column shear that exceeds the sum of the pile capacities is reported to the user. A design warning is issued to notify the user that there exists a shear force that must be resolved by some other transfer mechanism.
  Note: It should be noted that in this situation, the pile foundation is not considered to have failed.
