To change the parameters or location of a web opening in a steel beam, use the following procedure.

1. Either:

   select Layout > Beams > Web Openings > Change

   or

   select the Change Openings tool from the Layout Beam dynamic toolbar
   
   

   The Change Web Opening Mode dialog opens.
2. Select one or more options to change:
   • Distance from span end,
   • Position in Web,
   • Shape & Size.
   The selected options become active in the dialog.
3. For each item selected in step 2, enter a new value or select a different option.
   Note: Items that are not selected in the Items to Change group box will be ignored.
4. Either:

   Click…	To…
   Single	change a single opening with the new parameters
   Fence	change all the openings within a fenced area

5. To add more web openings, right-click and then repeat steps 2 through 4.
