Clicking View/Update causes the target cursor to appear. Click the target cursor on the lateral member you wish to view. This will cause the View/Update dialog box to appear. The header of this dialog box provides information about the lateral member selected: its floor type, member number, story level, and span coordinates.

Modifiable information is located below the header. The size of the lateral member is displayed in the top box above the list box in which other available shapes are listed. Material properties are also listed. Changes to member size can be made by clicking on a new member size in the list box. Material properties can be changed by entering new values in the edit boxes. Clicking the Update Data Base button will save these changes to the database, the same as if the assignment was made in the RAM Modeler. When the Update Data Base command is invoked, the status indicator light turns yellow.

Clicking the View Results button displays the member force results of the analysis for the load combos selected. This report is also available from the Reports - Member Forces command
