The Criteria - Diaphragm - Disconnect command can be used to override the disconnection of nodes from a diaphragm. One option is available in this command, i.e., overriding disconnection of internal nodes of beams (such as in transfer girders and beams supporting braces and columns). The use of this feature will typically increase the speed of execution of analysis dramatically. However, the user needs to realize that specifying all nodes to be part of the diaphragm might not always reflect the true behavior of the structure. The engineer can also specify that any individual node can be connected or disconnected from the diaphragm. The assignment is described in the section "Assign".
