C-Beam Design Summary

This output provides a listing of every C-Beam™ design in the structure. For each beam, there are two sections of output: Design and Detailing. Castellated and Cellular beams are listed separately.

The Design section lists the following information:

The beam ID number
The span length
The nominal yield strength Fy
The C-Beam size
The required camber
The required number of studs

An asterisk "*" after the beam size indicates that the beam is over‑stressed. This can occur with user-selected sizes. A "#" after the beam size indicates that the beam is over‑deflected. A "u" after the size indicates that the user has assigned the size, hole configuration, and/or studs shown.

The Detailing section lists the following information:

The beam ID number
The Root Beam size from which the C-Beam is to be manufactured. The root beam for the top half and the bottom half are both listed.
The C-Beam size
The range of acceptable e dimensions, emin and emax, for Castellated beams, and the range of acceptable S dimensions, Smin and Smax, for Cellular beams.
The dt dimension for Castellated beams, and the Do dimension for Cellular beams
The angle of the castellation, phi, for Castellated beams. The angle for the top half and the bottom half are both listed.
