To archive a model

Models can be saved with all analysis and design results removed.

This procedure significantly reduces the size of the file. This file can be used for archival purposes or when a model needs to be transferred electronically.

Note: There is no corresponding toolbar icon for this command.

Select File > Save as Archive.
(Optional) Type a name for the archive file.
By default, the file name of the archived file includes the database name, the program version number, and the date.

By default, the file extension is .rss, but Save as type includes both .rss and .zip. The resulting files are exactly the same except the extension. You can change the file extension of an archive file from .zip to .rss to to open the database normally in the program.

Note: It is not necessary to first Save the database, this command will archive the database in its current state. When the command is completed, the current database (not the archived version) will remain open and available to continue editing.
