Beam Lines

The View-Beam Lines command is used to display the beam lines on a selected story. Select the dialog box displayed below appears when the command is invoked. See Assigning Beam Lines (Section 2.6.3) for more information on beam line numbers. Select options from the dialog box and click Apply to display the selected options on the screen. Close will hide the dialog box, select View-Reset Model to remove the beam line numbers and highlighted members that are displayed on the screen.

Story From the story list, select the story for which to display beam line numbers. When selected, the list of beam line numbers will be updated to show all the beam line numbers currently assigned on the selected story.
Select Beam Line Numbers Select one or more beam line numbers from the list of beam line numbers. Depending on the selection, the beams with the selected beam line numbers will be highlighted and/or numbered, when Apply is selected. By clicking Select All (Unselect All), all the beam line numbers in the list will be selected (unselected).
Show Beam Line Numbers Select this option to display the beam line number on each beam that is assigned a beam line number equal to the numbers selected in the list.
Highlight Beam Lines Select this option to highlighted each beam that is assigned a beam line number equal to the numbers selected in the list.
