It is not necessary to assign sizes to C-Beam™; the optimum size and hole configuration will be selected automatically by the program in the RAM Steel Beam module. However, you can assign sizes in RAM Modeler if wanted, using the Layout > Beam > Assign Beam Size command. You may assign sizes for either Castellated or Cellular beams from either of two C-Beam Design Tables –Default or Alternate– as specified in the C-Beam tab in the Criteria > Design Steel Tables command in the RAM Manager.
