Choosing Other from the Material menu puts you into "Other Material Mode". This means that all members modeled after entering Other Material Mode will be modeled as ’Other’ until the material is changed. Member and material properties for the "other" members are input through the PropTable and Layout menus.

The RAM Structural System Software does NOT design 'Other' beams or columns. However, the RAM Frame module does provide an analysis of frames modeled in a user defined material.

To make changes to the properties of an 'Other' member, you must first be in Other Material Mode.

You will notice that choosing Other from the Material menu has an effect on the Layout menu; specifically, a Layout - Walls command is added. Several of the commands under the layout menu are material dependent.
