To specify criteria items specific to the Canadian design codes, use the following procedure.

1. Select Criteria > Canada Parameters.
   
   The Canada Parameters dialog opens.
2. (Optional) Specify material-related parameters:
   1. Select the Steel Material tab.
   2. For each shape and member type in the table, select the material grade to use.
   3. Select if built up members utilize plates with Flame-Cut Edges or Mill Plate.
   4. Select if HSS members are Class C (cold-formed, non-stress relieved) or Class H (hot-rolled or cold-formed, stress relieved).
3. (Optional) Specify deflection criteria:
   1. Select the Deflection tab.
   2. Type parameter values to use for the Canadian design codes indicated.
4. Click OK.
