Moving a Grid

Grids can be moved a specified increment using the Move command. When the Move command is used, the final grid coordinate is the initial coordinate plus the specified increment.

  1. Click the Grid to be moved in the Grids list box.
  2. Type the Increment by which the grid is to be moved. For Orthogonal grids (X and Y), Increment is the distance to be added to or subtracted from the grid coordinate. For Radial grids, Increment is the angle to be added to or subtracted from the current grid angle. For Circular grids, Increment is the distance to be added or subtracted from the radial distance.
  3. Click the Move button. The Grid will be moved to the new coordinate.

Multiple grids can be moved simultaneously by selecting them using the <Shift> and <Ctrl> keys. To select several grids, select each grid while pressing the <Ctrl> key. To select a continuous block of grids, select the first grid in the block and the select the last grid in the block while pressing the <Shift> key. The selected grids will be highlighted. Select the Move button to move all highlighted grids.

When the coordinate of a grid is changed, any structural elements associated with that grid will move as well. See Moving Grids and Data for more information.
