DataCheck

The DataCheck checks the validity of the model before proceeding to the design modules. Three types of Data Check are available: Gravity Only, Frame Only or Integrated. If Gravity Only is selected, the model data will be checked to ensure that it is valid for the RAM Steel Beam and/or Column Design modules. If Frame Only is selected, the model data will be checked to ensure that it is a valid "Frame Only" model for the RAM Frame program. If Integrated is selected, the model data will be checked to ensure that it is a valid Integrated model for the RAM Frame program.

The DataCheck is only run on the Layout Types that have been assigned to Story Data in the currently selected model. If errors are encountered, a report is displayed stating the nature of the error and the location at which it occurred. These errors must be corrected before the Beam Design module, Column Design module or RAM Frame can be run. Warnings might also be listed. They should be corrected is appropriate.

Note: Some complex modeling errors might not be found by the DataCheck but might occur during the Framing process while entering one of the other modules. If this happens, return to the RAM Modeler to correct the error.

Selecting the DataCheck command will cause the Data Check Selection dialog box to appear. Select either Gravity, Frame or Integrated.

To proceed with the DataCheck, select the OK button.

To cancel the DataCheck, select the Cancel button.
