In all RAM Structural System modules, the gravity surface loads applied in the Modeler are automatically distributed to the supporting beams and walls. All beams are assumed to be simple spans (not continuous between adjacent spans). The reactions from the beams are carried down the supporting columns (through each level) and are available at the base of the structure to load the foundations. This gravity analysis does not consider the continuity of any of the beams, gravity or lateral, steel or other material. Also note that gravity wall forces are not transferred down level to level.
