Options - Show Fixity

Options - Show Fixity is a toggle command that is used to both display and remove the fixed end conditions of the lateral members from the screen. Issuing the command once places a checkmark beside the menu item, indicating that the command is active. The fixed end conditions are then displayed on the screen. Issuing the command a second time removes the fixed end conditions from the display as well as the checkmark from the menu.

There are four display modes associated with the Show Fixity command. Upon issuing the command, you are given the option of displaying fixed end conditions for the major axis only, the minor axis only, the torsional axis only or all three simultaneously. A fixed end is indicated by an X and a pinned end is indicated by an O.

If all three axes are shown simultaneously, three symbols will be shown at each end. The symbol nearest the support indicates Major Axis fixity, the middle symbol indicates Minor Axis fixity, and the symbol farthest from the support indicates Torsional fixity.

In Plan Mode, the fixed end conditions of the Frame beams and the Concrete and Other Gravity beams are displayed. In Elevation Mode, the fixed end conditions of beams, columns and braces are displayed.

This command can be used in conjunction with all other Options - Show commands.
