RAM Structural System Tables

Carefully choosing program defaults is one way to customize the RAM Structural System working environment. Modifying the system tables or creating new system tables is another way to impose control over the RAM Structural System Software.

This appendix addresses the format and use of all tables associated with the RAM Structural System modules. Not all sections will be relevant to all users.

Note: The maximum length of any individual line is 178 characters.

A table editor is available for editing the Master Steel and Design Steel tables. The Table Editor is invoked using the Tools > RAM Table Editor in the RAM Manager. See Appendix C for more information on the Table Editor.

If a Master Steel or Design Steel table used by a database is modified, either by using the Table Editor or some other editing program, the changes will take effect in that database the next time that model is opened; a warning will be given, optimized sizes will be cleared, and the model will be "reframed".
