To generate an echo of input data
To generate a report include text descriptions of all model input data, use the following procedure.
This report includes listings of story data and deck and loading properties. Information on each member, such as coordinates, shape and orientation for columns and user-selected beam depth restrictions and user-assigned sizes is displayed in an easy to read tabular form. This provides a written record of the model and provides a means of verifying its accuracy.
Tip: The Data Echo Report can be a useful tool to check for errors while constructing a model. While modeling in a graphical environment greatly reduces modeling errors by providing visual verification of element placement, it does not eliminate them entirely. A textual listing of the model data can be helpful in tracking down other errors.
Besides using the Data Echo Report for error checking purposes, it can be included with the building calculations as a complete description of all the data comprising the structural model.
