The Deflection Criteria set using the Criteria > Deflection command can be assigned to each beam on a beam-by-beam basis using the Assign > Deflection Criteria command. Select the desired criteria from the list and assign to beams one at a time using the Single button or to a number of beams using the Fence button. By default all beams are assigned the first set of criteria in the list (usually labeled “Default”). As assignments are made, all of the beams with that same assignment are highlighted.

To modify an assignment already made, merely assign a new assignment to replace the previous assignment.

This assignment can be made to Steel beams, Steel Joists, C-Beam™, and Westok Cellular Beams.

Sets of criteria can be edited or new criteria items added by selecting the Edit button or by selecting the Criteria > Deflection command.
