Equation 11-7 is used to calculate shear resistance due to transverse reinforcement:

V_{s} = \frac{ϕ_{s} A_{v} f_{y v} d_{v} \cos θ}{s}

where

θ	=	value calculated in accordance with section 11.3.6.4.
f_yv	=	yield strength of transverse shear reinforcement.
