Controlling Column Shear Loads

SettingDescription
Load Case: This is the Load Case that resulted in the worst combination of shear load. See the Technical Notes (Chapter 3) for a description of the load cases. Shear force is calculated as the end moments divided by the column length.
Shear: These indicate the total unfactored Dead, Live and Roof Shear Loads associated with the controlling load case. The Live Load and Roof Load are reduced, if allowed. The Live Load may be less than the total Live Load due to skipping associated with the controlling load case. The same applies to the Roof Load.
