The assignment of an anchor cell may be accomplished using the Layout - Westok Cellular Beam – Assign Anchor Cell command. Anchor cell locations may be assigned to Cellular Beams on a beam-by-beam basis, allowing the user to assign different anchor cell locations in different areas of the floor layout. Anchor cells allow the engineer to control cell arrangement along a beam and to force uniformity in cell configuration for a series of beams in a bay. The program places cells on either side of the assigned anchor cell and also leaves an adequate end post. Anchor cells may be assigned without assigning a cell size. The anchor cell will have the same size as the optimized cell diameter for the beam.
