Layout - Horizontal Braces - Brace Points

The Brace Points command provides you with means to add or delete brace points along the top and/or bottom flange of horizontal braces in the model. This information is use by RAM Frame when performing a Code Check on horizontal braces.

Selecting the Layout - Horizontal Braces - Brace Points command causes the User Brace Point Layout Mode dialog box to appear.

Setting	Description
To add brace points:	Specify the Distance from Selected Horizontal Brace End by entering a value in the edit box. Indicate whether the top and/or bottom flange will be braced using the check boxes. Click the Add button. Click the target cursor on the horizontal brace to be braced. Click the rectangle on the end of the horizontal brace from which the distance entered in step 1 will be measured.

A mark will be displayed on the horizontal brace to show that the brace point has been placed. A triangle indicates the bottom flange is braced. An inverted triangle indicates the top flange is braced.

Setting	Description
To delete brace points:	Click the Delete button. Click the target cursor on the brace point to remove.
