Construction Stage Analysis Load Case

A special load case type referred to as Construction Stage Analysis is provided to run stage analysis. To perform this type of analysis, stage numbers must be known for columns, beams, walls, braces, and diaphragms in advance. In addition, stage duration information accompanied with concrete material model information for concrete members and diaphragms are required if time-dependent material effects are considered in analysis.

Two different analysis modes are provided for a construction stage analysis: Stage Analysis Only and Stage Analysis with Time Dependent Material Effects. The latter additionally include time-dependent material effects in analysis such as changing of concrete modulus over time (i.e., stiffness), creep and shrinkage related deformations.

If the option Stage Analysis with Time Dependent Material Effects is selected, then you need to decide which concrete model type to be used in analysis.

It is possible to override the dead load case results with those from a construction stage analysis. In this case, the option Replace Dead Load Case Results with Results from Construction Stage Analysis should be selected.
