Floor Map

The floor map is a diagram showing the framing of a floor type in a model. The heading data gives information such as the name of the model, the floor type being shown and the codes used in the design of the various members. The map shows all beams and columns that occur at the floor type. If a column from a level above frames onto a beam on the floor type, the column is not shown. Only columns starting at or continuous at the floor type are shown.

When the Reports - Map Floor command is issued, the dialog that appears gives the user options to include beam numbers, beam designs, beam reactions, column numbers, deck assignments, loads and grids on the floor map. Beam and column numbers correspond to those that will appear on other output reports. Cross-referencing a floor map that includes beam and column numbers with other reports can be very useful.

Either the factored or unfactored reactions can be shown. In addition the user can specify a scale factor by which the calculated reactions are multiplied. A minimum reaction value may also be specified; if the calculated reaction is less than the minimum value, the minimum value will be shown instead.

If a map with decks or loads is printed, a key is also included.
