BS 5950-1:1990 and BS 5950-1:2000 are implemented. This section describes criteria required by both code versions. For BS5950-2000 there are additional criteria related to hollow structural sections and distance to axis of restraint of a beam that are specified in the RAM Manager. Refer to the British Criteria in the RAM Manager for more information. There are also new tables provided for cold-formed steel sections as specified in BS5950-2000 and described in the Tables section of the RAM Manager manual.
