Color Scale dialog

Design Colors allow you to view the interaction, deflection, and controlling design colors.

With the exception of frame beams, beams which cannot be designed are colored gray. See notes on Frame Beams for frame beam design colors.

SettingDescription
Controlling Controlling colors indicate the maximum of Interaction and Deflection colors.
Interaction Interaction colors indicate the maximum of the design interactions for shear, bending, and web opening design checks. For C-Beamâ„¢ and Westok Cellular Beams, the interaction is the maximum of gross shear, vertical and horizontal shear, web post bucking, and Vierendeel interaction.
Deflection Deflection colors indicate the ratio of actual deflection to the critical deflection limit set for the beam.
Frame Beams Set this option to display the interactions for frame beams.

The default interaction color for frame beams is gray.

Note: The interactions for frame beams only reflect gravity.
Show / Hide Values Toggling this button shows or hides the interaction value corresponding to the current selection for Controlling, Interaction, or Deflection.
Note: The N/A label is assigned to beams for which the program cannot determine a design color.
