The Assign > Tension Only command is used to convert regular brace or horizontal brace members to Tension-Only members or visa versa. The dialog contains two sections: Member Analysis Type and Assign.

In Member Analysis Type section, two options are provided. Tension/Compression is used to convert chosen member(s) to regular brace or horizontal brace members. In Tension-Only option, the chosen members are converted to Tension-Only members.

In the Assign section, the following actions can be carried out for chosen task in Member Analysis Type section.

• Single will carry out the chosen task for a single brace or horizontal brace member.
• Fence will carry out the chosen task for fenced brace or horizontal brace members.
• All will carry out the chosen task for all brace or horizontal brace member.
