Member splices

Member splices are defined over top chord or bottom chord members

The variables used in this spreadsheet are:

• Member type: Determines if the member splice is to be placed over top chord or bottom chord members.
• X offset: Determines the distance along X axis where the splice is to be placed.
• End release: Allows you to select the splice end release type. Possible values are:

Pinned: Transfers axial and shear stresses.

Fixed: Transfers axial and shear stresses and moments.
