Member properties

Each member in the truss is assigned with a particular set of properties.

The variables used in this spreadsheet are:

Section: Defines the name of the section for each member. The user can select a section name from the section list on the bottom of the spreadsheet. Once the section is selected, all the associated properties are automatically assigned to the member.
Description. Allows to assign a custom description to each member. Once the description is assigned
Member type: Classifies the truss member type for each section. Possible values are: top chord, bottom chord, vertical web and diagonal web. Member type is used along the module to define other truss properties.
Rotation: Defines the member rotation by the right hand rule. Possible values are: 0º, 90º, 180º and 270º.
