It is the distance between the intersection of centroidal axis or the intersections of setting out lines of bolts considering normally the axis of the minimum radius of gyration in angle, channel or T-section struts. This parameter is used with the design process detailed in Section 4.7.10 considering the values of Table 25 in the calculation of the slenderness.
