Edit or create a load combination

Note than only load combinations may be edited or created. The data required to edit or create one or more load combinations are:

Setting	Description
Loadcase identifier (ID)	The name assigned to the load case. This is a string with few letters (no spaces or special characters, and should always start with a letter), Examples: dl, cdl, wx12, etc. These characters will be displayed in outputs were load cases or combinations are reported.
Description	It can include a more detailed description of the load case.
Category	It defines the load case type to be used in the load combination generator. The default types are: ASH, CRANE, DL (dead load), EQ (earthquake), HAIL, LL (live load), LLr (roof live load), SNOW, WIND, FLUID, and EARTH. Note that the program includes the most common types. However the user can add new types with the category manager .

The data required for the load combinations are:

Setting	Description
Load case identifier (ID)	The name assigned to the load combination.
Formula	This optional string field accepts special characters such as (+), (-) and (*) to add, subtract or multiply the different load cases. A number before the load case identifier is used as the factor by which the load case forces will be multiplied. Spaces in the string are ignored, Examples: 1.4dl + 1.7ll, dl+ll, etc. Only the load condition identifiers for load cases previously entered are accepted in the formulae. Existing load combination identifiers are not allowed (i.e. you cannot make a new combination out of an existing combination).
Columns with the previously defined load cases	These data columns define the load factor for each previously defined load case. The default value is zero.
Type	It defines the type of combination. There are three options for each material considered in the design. The program will perform the design process for the not-assigned type together with the design type of the respective material.
