Verify that the all-bolted single-plate shear splice between two ASTM A992/A992M beams, as shown in Figure II.A20-1, is adequate to support the following beam end reactions: RD = 10 kips, RL = 30 kips. Use ASTM A572/A572M Grade 50 plate. Bolts are 7/8” Group 120, thread condition N, standard holes. Refer to the figure in the reference for additional details.
