Flexural Section Parameters

The parameters in this tab control the design of flexural reinforcement for the transfer of unbalanced moment to the column (see ACI 318-19 8.4.2.2.2) or minimum reinforcement for punching shear requirements (see ACI 318-19 8.6.1.2).

Setting	Description
Top Bar	The label used to identify the top face reinforcing bar used for flexural reinforcement at the column-slab connection.
Bottom Bar	The label used to identify the bottom face reinforcing bar used for flexural reinforcement at the column-slab connection.
Top Cover	Clear cover to the top longitudinal bars at the column-slab connection.
Bottom Cover	Clear cover to the bottom longitudinal bars at the column-slab connection.
Use Intersecting Span Segment Properties	When selected the bar and cover assignments defined with span segments intersecting the flexural section are used in the design instead of the properties listed above.
