To draw objects on a plan, first select a drawing tool by clicking on it or choosing it from the Tools menu. The selected tool will be the active drawing tool for the plan until you select a new tool. Follow the command prompts for points to enter. For example, with a Mesh Input layer plan open, and the Column tool selected, the command prompt will read "Enter column center point:".

If you are drawing with a tool and wish to cancel what you have drawn, click the right mouse button, or press the <Esc> key.

If you need to reposition or magnify the view while you are drawing and do not want to cancel the work you are doing, use the mouse wheel button to pan or zoom. See "Controlling views" for more information on how to use the mouse wheel button.
