This section applies to post-tensioned beams, one-way slabs, and two-way slabs.

For beams and one-way slabs, where the flexural tensile stresses exceed 0.72f_ctm additional un-tensioned reinforcement is designed in accordance with 5.8.7. Compressive stresses are limited to the values in 5.8.2.

For two-way slabs, the flexural compressive and tensile stresses are limited to the values in Table 5 for column/middle strip design, or Table 4 for full panel width design, where f_ck is replaced with f_cki.

For sections with multiple concrete mixes, the minimum f_ck is used to determine the limit stress and the peak stress reported may be approximate.
