Example of Influence Areas

The following figures show RAM Concept 's influence areas and the influence areas commonly used by engineers for a few slab conditions.

Some engineers might (erroneously) suggest that the tributary area of the column in the following figure is 600 square feet, but continuity effects would obviously increase that value. The results show that the tributary area is actually 952 square feet.
