RAM Concept models the slab portion of the structure with triangular or quadrilateral slab elements. These slab elements are based on a formulation by Robert Cook ["Two Hybrid Elements for Analysis of Thick, Thin and Sandwich Plates", International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, Volume 5, pages 277-288, 1972]. The elements consider both in-plane and bending deformation. Five degrees of freedom are used per node.
